PUBLIC INPUT/HEARING i None I III. OLD BUSINESS. ' I 1. Proposed Language- Amendment to City Code, Chapter 90, to allow Beekeeping. , The Commission reviewed text of proposed changes to Chapter 90 to allow keeping of honeybees in residential areas of the city. The City attomey had made some modifications to the proposed text which were presented at the meeting. Commissioner Lee arrived during the discussion of this item. Centerville Resident, Terry Johnson requested additional language to allow more bee colonies on larger lots and to a11ow other methods of training. Consensus of the Commission was to retain the simplicity of the language as proposed with the understanding that the rules could be modified later if no problems are encountered with beekeeping as regulated by the proposed text. Motion bv Commissioner Montain. seconded bv Commissioner Lee to recommend that the Citv Council adopt the amendments as drafted bv the Citv Attornev. All in favor. Motion carried unanimouslv.
