City of Centerville <br />Planning and Zoning Minutes <br /> <br />June 4, 2002 <br /> <br />Commissioner Wilharber asked whether the City needed to contact New Brighton to ask <br />for permission to utilize that Ordinance. <br /> <br />The Commission agreed that it did not feel it was necessary to ask for permission to use <br />New Brighton’s ordinance. <br /> <br />V. NEW BUSINESS <br /> <br /> <br />1.Joint Meeting with Council (NEMO) <br /> <br />Consensus was reached to ask Staff to schedule the joint meeting with NEMO for the <br />July Planning Commission meeting. The Commission Members also indicated they were <br />open to coming to a Council meeting if Council preferred to have NEMO at its meeting. <br /> <br />VI. DISCUSSION ITEMS <br /> <br />Chair Hanson indicated the Commission had asked that the right-of-way ordinance be <br />placed on this agenda. He then asked that it be placed on next month’s agenda. <br /> <br />Commissioner McLean indicated that the Ordinance on tattooing and body piercing did <br />not address massage parlors. <br /> <br />Commissioner Wilharber commented that the minutes of the last meeting indicate that the <br />Commission agreed to schedule the NEMO training for the June meeting. <br /> <br />Commissioner Wilharber indicated he had seen a recent court decision concerning a <br />right-of-way issue and the court sided with the utility company. <br /> <br />Commissioner DeVine asked the recording secretary to bold the items in the minutes <br />being asked of staff. <br /> <br />The Commission asked that the right-of-way ordinance, Ordinance 70, 71 and 4 be <br />placed on the agenda for public hearings. <br /> <br />The Commission asked that Staff send an e-mail to the members to indicate whether <br />the NEMO training would be placed on the July agenda. <br /> <br /> <br />The Commission asked that the agenda for the meetings be changed to reflect the <br />new format agreed to by Council. <br /> <br /> <br />Page 3 of 4 <br />
