City of Centerville <br />Council Meeting <br />May 25, 2011 <br /> <br />2.Res. #11-011 – Support of Concept of Cooperation & Collaboration to <br />Promote Greater Efficiency in the Use of Public Resources – Anoka <br />County <br /> <br />Administrator Larson briefly reviewed the presented resolution and stated that this <br />item would provide more efficient services for all municipalities within Anoka <br />County. He stated that if the resolution is approved, Council should not be <br />surprised, but rather expect to see a Centerville truck in a neighboring community <br />and another community’s equipment in Centerville trading services. A discussion <br />was had by Council as to how this collaboration would work. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Fehrenbacher, seconded by Council Member <br />Paar to approve Res. #11-011 as presented. All in favor. Motion carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br /> <br />3.Mr. Rick Ringel, Platinum Liquor Request for Off-Sale & Tobacco <br />th <br />Liquor Licenses (Formally Jed’s Liquor, 7093 – 20 Avenue S.) <br /> <br />Administrator Larson explained that all applicable applications, fees and <br />background search has been completed. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member King, seconded by Council Member Paar to <br />th <br />approve an Off-Sale and Tobacco Licenses for Platinum Liquor, 7093 – 20 <br />Avenue S. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> <br />IX.ANNOUNCEMENTS/UPDATES <br /> <br />Administrator Larson informed the Council that the Eagle Scout Tree <br />Diversification Project was completed on Saturday, May 21 with 22 trees planted <br />in Laurie LaMotte Park in spite of very wet weather conditions thanks to the <br />Scouts and many volunteers. Some back filling and mulching still needs to be <br />done but should be completed this week. <br /> <br />Mayor Wilharber congratulated the community for meeting Anoka County’s <br />Recycling Goals of 2010. <br /> <br />“Mayor Wilharber reported that he and Council Member Fehrenbacher had met <br />with the Mayor and one Council Member from Lino Lakes, Circle Pines and <br />Lexington to discuss sharing and collaboration. They expect to meet one more <br />time to discuss ideas and will at that point provide a list of ideas for staff to work <br />on.” <br /> <br /> <br />X.ADJOURNMENT (Work Session Following the Regularly Scheduled <br />Meeting) <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Love, seconded by Council Member Paar to <br />Adjourn the meeting of May 25, 2011 at 7:13 p.m. All in favor.
