City of Centerville <br />Council Meeting <br />May 11, 2011 <br />Motion by Council Member Love, seconded by Council Member Paar to adopt Res. <br />#11-010 – Endorsing & Supporting the Parks & Recreation Committee’s <br />Nomination of Previous Mayor Mary Capra for the 2011 C.C. Ludwig Award as <br />presented. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Mayor Wilharber applauded Parks & Recreation for their nomination and he feels it is a <br />deserved item. <br /> <br /> <br />VIII.NEW BUSINESS <br /> <br /> <br />1.Acceptance of the Centerville Lions Park Donation <br /> <br />Discussed Previously. <br /> <br /> <br />2.Special Event Permit & Temporary On-Sale (Strong) Liquor License – Beer <br />& Brat Event, June 11, 2011 from 2:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. @ 6995 Centerville <br />Road (Church of St. Genevieve Community Parish Center) <br /> <br />Discussed Previously. <br /> <br /> <br />3.Church of St. Genevieve Request for Temporary On-Sale (Strong) Liquor <br />License & Gambling Permit for Their Annual Chicken Dinner, August 21, <br />2011 <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member King, seconded by Council Member Paar to approve <br />the Request for Temporary On-Sale (Strong) Liquor License & Gambling Permit <br />for St. Genevieve’s Annual Chicken Dinner, August 21, 2011 as presented. All in <br />favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> <br />IX.ANNOUNCEMENTS/UPDATES <br /> <br />Administrator Larson reported that as Council may be aware, an Eagle Scout project (tree <br />planting ~ 22) is taking place on May 21, 2011 at Laurie LaMotte Memorial Park, 6995 <br />LaMotte Drive at 9:00 a.m. weather permitting and they are looking for volunteers. <br />Anyone interested may call City Hall or visit the City’s website for additional <br />information. <br /> <br />Administrator Larson reported that the Centennial Lakes Police Governing Board has <br />been entertaining ordinances/code that could be utilizing within the three member cities <br />attempting to streamline regulations for ease of officer enforcement. Council discussed <br />licensing or not licensing cats and ferrets and with the potential of not licensing dogs. <br /> <br />Consensus of the Council was that Staff would work with the other communities (Circle <br />Pines & Lexington) in an attempt to gain uniformity in ordinances/code and report back <br />to Council with his findings. <br /> <br />Mayor Wilharber stated that the trail project construction had commenced and requested <br />that Engineer Statz provide Council with an update.
