i TO: Parks & Recreation Committee FROM: Kim Stephan DATE: June 30, 2011 SUBJECT: Updates Irrigation Svstem at Laurie LaMotte Memorial Park Per Mr. Palzer: The irrigation contractor notified us that he has us on his schedule for July 18` to start installing the irrigation cannon system. Xcel is installing the electrical service for the pump and the building should be on the foundation this week. Per Dallas Larson: Same. Drainage issues for downtown. Contracts have been executed for the stormwater irrigation system at LaMotte Park. Boring of the line from the pond that will feed the pump is complete and is connected to the pnmpi.ng wet well, Work on the ' inlet in the pond is complete. The pump system contractor can now return to finish his work. The field imgation system has a September, 2011 completion date, but the I contractor should begin this work around July S. We have asked the contractor to mod.ify the sprinkler control to a"two wire" system. It has a slightly higher cost, but it can be easily e�cpanded without trenching new wires from the sprinkler head to fhe control point. The cost difference is about $1800, bnt we expect this amount to be of�set by savings in other areas of the project.
