Mr. Greg Kieselhorst, Centerville Lions = Festival Permits & Waiving of Fees <br /> Mr. Kieselhorst requested that the Lions be issued various permits for the annual Fete des Lacs <br /> events also be considered for a Gambling Permit (LG220) allowing the raffle to be held on <br /> Sunday, July 31, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. Mr. Kieselhorst also requested a modification to the dates of <br /> the Transient/Peddler/Solicitation Permit to commence June 23 — July 30, 201 l. <br /> Motion was made bv Council Member Paar, seconded bv Council Member Love, to <br /> approve all of the Centerville Lion's Festival Permits & Waivins of Fees as presented <br /> including a permit for the raffle. All in favor. Motion Passed Unanimously. <br /> VII. OLD BUSINESS <br /> 1. Xcel Energy Franchise Ordinance — Tabled From Previous Meeting <br /> The Council again tabled action on a franchise ordinance for Xcel Energy, as the power company <br /> has not approved the draft as Xcel has not agreed to the terms of the franchise. <br /> 2. Consider Turning Off Part of the Downtown Street Lighting <br /> Administrator Larson stated that the Centennial Lakes Police felt that there would not be any <br /> safety concerns if Council chose to decrease the lighting in the Downtown area along Main <br /> Street (CSAH14). The savings will be approximately $300 per year. <br /> Council Member Paar stated the lighting and the colored concrete were intended to attract <br /> � businesses to the downtown area and while he appreciates the $300 savings he believes turning <br /> �''� the lights off is a detriment to the downtown area. <br /> Motion was made bv Council Member Fehrenbacher, seconded bv Council Member Love <br /> to auurove Turning Off Everv Other 5treet Li�ht to Conserve Ener$v.
