JOB DESCRIPTION <br /> CITY OF CENTERVILLE <br /> POSITION Secretary C <br /> DEPARTMENT Administration <br /> SUMMARY: This position is responsible for performing routine <br /> clerical work. This position is also responsible for general <br /> receptionist duties. The position requires knowledge of general <br /> office practices and procedures. There is an emphasis on <br /> communicating with the general public and other office staff. <br /> This position also includes incidental duties as assigned. <br /> ACCOUNTABILITIES <br /> REPORTS TO: City Administrator <br /> SUPERVISES: Not applicable at this time <br /> COORDINATES WITH: City Administrator <br /> City Clerk <br /> Deputy Clerk /Treasurer <br /> Building Inspections /Public Works <br /> RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES <br /> 1. Answer phone calls and provide basic information, receive <br /> complaints and questions. <br /> 2. Respond to walk -in front counter traffic. <br /> 3. Process mail. <br /> 4. Type correspondence, reports, notices and other related <br /> documents. <br /> 5. Operate all office machines as required. <br /> 6. Coordinate and maintain filing system. <br /> 7. Issue City permits and licenses under the direction of the <br /> City Clerk. <br /> 8. Assist with utility billings under direction of the Deputy <br /> 40 Clerk. <br />
