termination of this agreement or until the calendar year <br /> following the next Metro Council Census. The present population <br /> of the respective communities according to the 1974 census <br /> is as follows: Circle Pines - 4,114; Lexington - 2,312. <br /> (e) Revenues from fines for criminal violations <br /> shall belong to the city prosecuting the violation. <br /> (f) The Commission shall make a financial account- �y <br /> ing and report to the cities on or before April 1st of each <br /> year and all of its books, reports and records shall be opened <br /> to examination by the municipalities at all reasonable times. <br /> (g) The Commission may collect and receive money <br /> from the municipalities which are parties to this agreement. <br /> The Commission may incur expenses and make expenditures <br /> necessary and incidental to the effectuation of the purposes <br /> of this agreement. Orders, checks and drafts shall be signed <br /> I,- -.= chairman and treasurer. All other legal instruments <br /> eha be executed on behalf of the Commission by the chairman <br /> a-.d secretary. <br /> 5. Amendment. This agreement may be amended at any <br /> time by a resolution of the city councils of both cities. <br /> 6. Duration. This agreement shall be in force and <br /> effect until December 31, 1976, and shall continue in full force <br /> and effect on a yearly basis thereafter, provided, however, <br /> that either party may terminate this agreement by givina the <br /> other party one hundred twenty (120) days written notice prior <br /> to the end of the year of its intention to terminate. In <br /> addition, this agreement may be terminated and the joint police <br /> department dissolved at any time by mutual agreement of the <br /> City Councils. <br /> 7. In the event of dissolution of the joint police <br /> force, all assets of the joint police force shall be distributed <br /> to each city in proportion to the payments made by each.
