Orville Hughes, 1793 Center Street, asked how the drainage to his <br /> property would be affected. The developer responded that the <br /> drainage plan would not adversely affect his property. <br /> Mary Jo Helmbrecht, 1745 Main Street, asked if the ditch on the <br /> south side of the development could handle the run -off from this <br /> development and asked if the Public Works Director had commented <br /> on the tear drop design cul -de -sacs. <br /> The developer responded that their calculations show that the <br /> ditch could be regraded to properly drain the development and <br /> that the Public Works Director had recommended the tear drop <br /> design be retained in the plat design. <br /> The homes in this development would have a 1,050 square foot <br /> minimum on the ground floor. The garages would be 2.5 stalls <br /> minimum. The developer would pave the trails prior to home <br /> construction if needed, but he would prefer to pave the trail the <br /> following year. <br /> Linda Broussard - Vickers asked the City Engineer for a <br /> recommendation on tree planting or a berm along Centerville Road. <br /> Mr. Carlson commented that he would like to plant some 16 to 18 <br /> Norway Pines along Centerville Road and stagger a row of these <br /> trees on a 20' basis. Mr. Carlson indicated that he would like <br /> to place a monument on the east side of Centerville Road near the <br /> entrance to this development. <br /> Discussion occurred on the need to loop the watermain for this <br /> project. The looping would be coordinated in the developer's <br /> agreement. The loop would benefit this development as well as <br /> existing developments. <br /> Motion made by Linda Broussard - Vickers to close the public <br /> hearing, seconded by John Buckbee. Motion carried. <br /> Main Street /Dupre Road Bank Proposal - Roger Kolstad <br /> Mr. Roger Kolstad was in attendance to discuss a potential bank <br /> that would like to locate to the west of the entrance of the <br /> Eagle Pass development. Mr. Kolstad also explained his request <br /> to vacate Clearwater Road. <br /> The sketch plan that was presented showed that vehicles would <br /> enter and exit off of Dupre Road. <br /> At this time the County has not commented on this sketch plan. <br /> Mary Jo Helmbrecht, 1745 Main Street, mentioned she has a concern <br /> with residential homes being blocked in by commercial. She would <br /> like to see this area zoned for mixed use, the same as the <br /> downtown area as proposed in the Centerville Comprehensive Plan. <br />
