Motion carried <br /> unanimously, <br /> Rick Carlson - Parkview Development <br /> Developers Agreement <br /> Mr. Nyberg updated the Council on the Parkview Development. The developers' agreement is in <br /> accordance with the city and is ready to be finalized so that the developer can begin to sell lots. <br /> Also, he can begin to pull building and grading permits. A resolution is attached approving the <br /> plans and specifications and authorizing advertisement of bids for the Parkview Development. <br /> Currently, July 14, 1998 has been considered for the Parkview Development bid opening. <br /> Final grading Plan <br /> Mr. Carlson noted submittal of a certificate of insurance, payment and performance bond to the <br /> City. Mr. Makkee ( Makkee Engineering) explained the drainage plan and noted amendments as <br /> per the Planning Commission and the City Engineer. <br /> Mr. Orville Hughes (1793 Center Street) stressed his concern regarding drainage on the south <br /> east corner of the development where there are several manicured rock gardens. The rock <br /> gardens are in place to avoid drainage problems. <br /> Councilmember Buckbee moved and it was seconded to direct Staff to send a letter to <br /> surrounding 12rol2trties that have trees flowers or gardens around the Parkview drainage area. <br /> Al t i t r i f r m h r th r i n <br /> unanimously. <br /> Councilmember Buckbee moved and it was seconded to authorize Staff to contact residents that <br /> have day lighted into the ditch and notify them that if any disWtion occurs it is the residents' <br /> responsibility to repair the area. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> Final Plat <br /> Councilmember Brenner questioned the engineers on the watermain direction to the senior <br /> housing facility. Mr. Nyberg explained the watermain is designed to run along Centerville Road <br /> and cut east, near the senior housing entrance. Councilmember Brenner questioned Staff when <br /> the Barett home is removed if the watermain could be redirected. Mr. Nyberg explained the most <br /> efficient way to run the watermain is under the Barett home location. <br /> Mr. March commented on another agenda item - Senior Housing Barett House and Garage. <br /> Mr. March recommended the Council consider selling the Barett garage and remove or destroy <br /> the home. Mr. March suggested accepting sealed proposals on the garage and to destroy the <br /> house since there is no salvage value. Mr. Palzer noted several items in the Barett house needed <br /> to be addressed in order to rent the house. However, the City should retain antique fixtures <br /> within the house prior to destruction. <br /> 5 <br />
