Councilmember Helmbrecht moved and it was seconded to approve the City of Centerville <br /> payment of claims for March 12 -25 Motion carried unanimously. <br /> The Centennial Fire District <br /> Councilmember Helmbrecht moved and it was seconded to approve the Centennial Fire District <br /> disbursements Motion carried unanimously. <br /> Centerville Elementary School Watermain Extension - Final Pay Estimate <br /> Councilmember Helmbrecht mentioned areas of the sod on Main Street are destroyed and should <br /> be replaced. <br /> Councilmember Buckbee moved and it was seconded to approve the Centerville Elementary <br /> School Watermain Extension - Final Pay Estimate contingent upon the engineering <br /> recommendations lien waivers IC 134 forms and the replacement of the sod alb Main Street <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br /> SET AGENDA <br /> Councilmember Helmbrecht moved and it was seconded to approve the set agenda, Motion <br /> carried unanimously. <br /> PETITIONS AND COMPLAINTS <br /> UNFVgSHED BUSINESS <br /> Petition from Roger Kolsted• Vacation of Clearwater Road & Rezone Property from <br /> Residential to Commercial. <br /> Legal Council recommended the council deny the petition unless Mr. Kolsted signs a letter dated <br /> March 25, 1998, to waive the 60 -day time limit. Mr. March noted the City has to act upon the <br /> request within 60 days of the petition. Currently, the city has 10 days until the time limit expires. <br /> However, the March waiver form would allow the petitioner to table the issue until a later date. <br /> And, if the request is denied, the petitioner will have to reapply and go through the process again. <br /> Mayor Wilharber expressed concern the residents would not be informed if the issues are <br /> addressed at a later date. <br /> Councilmember Helmbrecht moved and it was seconded to deny the rezone request and the <br /> petition to vacate Clearwater Road with the condition that the denial is vacated if the petitioner <br /> signs a letter dated March 25 1998. and property owners within 350' be notified of future <br /> consideration of the issue Motion carried unanimously. <br /> Amendment to Ordinance 44 -A <br /> Mr. March recommended removing the commercial districts from the proposed amendment. <br /> 3 <br />
