Maintain a staffed office and residential emergency shelter facility that will offer appropriate <br /> community and legal advocacy services for battered women and families. <br /> 2. Provide 24 -hour phone access by maintaining telephone linkage with the shelter so that one <br /> call enables a woman to speak to an advocate and get immediate help and/or referral. <br /> 3. flake arrangements for safe housing for women and children by utilizing existing and future <br /> shelter resources and programs. <br /> 4. Provide transportation to safety for battered women and families. <br /> 5. Accompany women to medical, legal, social services, housing and other appointments as <br /> appropriate, <br /> 6. Coordinate services for battered women with other agencies providing legal assistance, <br /> financial assistance, chemical dependency counseling, career development and others as <br /> appropriate. <br /> Infomtation and Referral Resources <br /> 1. Provide referrals and information about childcare, food, medical, transportation, financial.. <br /> housing and other resources for battered women and families in the community. <br /> 2. Provide referrals and/or information on legal options to women. <br /> GOAL #3 <br /> To provide assistance In pursuing civil, criminal and family court remedies. <br /> Intervention Advocacy Objectives: <br /> 1. Accompany women to both the filing and the hearing for an Order of Protection and other <br /> legal advocacy assistance as needed. <br /> 2. Provide legal clinic access with attorney advice and counsel as needed. <br />
