Alexandra House, Inc. <br /> Community Development Block Grant Application <br /> Page 3 <br /> GOAL ##4 <br /> To improve the community's response to battered women and children by assessing <br /> systems, changing needs as appropriate and developing a plan targeting at least one system. <br /> for improvement such as schools, churches, legal, law enforcement, medical, senior <br /> assistance, mental health, social services, courts, etc <br /> Systems Change Objectives: <br /> Alexandra House will network with community schools, churches, legal, law enforcement, <br /> medical, mental health, social services, courts, etc. to provide updated and ongoing information <br /> about our services and gain feedback from the City of Centerville about its needs in regard to the <br /> issue of domestic violence. <br /> Impact of Activities <br /> It is the expectation and ongoing goal of Alexandra House that our services are easily accessed, <br /> appropriately delivered and of high quality for women and families. Your funding and <br /> endorsement of our work will assist us in expanding and enhancing the quality of our services. <br /> Long term strategies for sustaining this effort will be met by a yearly review of performance, <br /> delivery of services and partnerships in the areas o£: <br /> General Advocacy <br /> Information and Referral <br /> Intervention Advocacy and Domestic Violence Court Case Assistance <br /> Health Care Advocacy <br /> Support Groups <br /> Safety <br /> Community Education (Professional Training <br /> Orientation/Staff Development <br /> Professional and Community Affiliations <br /> Evaluation <br /> The effectiveness of Alexandra House services provided to battered women, families, and the <br /> general community, will be assessed through review of both formal and informal client <br /> evaluations and similar measurement methods. These will be compared and tracked on a year to <br /> date basis and adjustments made as necessary. Staff, volunteers and interns will make initial <br /> assessment of evaluation. material. Appropriate improvements will be implemented and the <br /> evaluations will then be summarized for higher review by management and the Board of <br /> D as part of an annual report process. <br />
