Centennial Fire District <br /> Steering Committee Meeting Minutes <br /> January 28, 1998 <br /> The meeting was held at Centennial Fire Station #2 in the training room. <br /> The meeting was called to order by Jim Keinath at 3:35 p.m. <br /> Role call was taken and the following members were present: <br /> Sauna Buckbee — Centerville Representative <br /> Tom Wilharber — Centerville Representative <br /> Jim March — Centerville City Administrator <br /> LeAnn Osbun — Circle Pines Representative <br /> Dan Stoltz — Circle Pines Repressentative <br /> Jim Keinath — Circle Pines Administrator <br /> Andy Neal — Lino Lakes Representative <br /> Dave Peechia — Lino Lakes Administrator <br /> Milo Bennett — Fire Chief <br /> Des Englund — President of Relief Association <br /> Mike Peterson — Secretary Treasurer of Relief Association <br /> Absent from the meeting are as follows: <br /> John Bergeson —Lino Lakes Representative <br /> Welcome to New Members <br /> The meeting started with a request from Keinath to have everyone seated in the <br /> meeting introduce themselves. <br /> Year -end Review of Call History <br /> Chief Bennett reviewed the 1997 call history compared to 1994, 1995, and 1996. Calls <br /> were down in 1997 compared to 1996- Graphs were presented showing comparisons of <br /> call history for these years. Calls on CO Monitors were down from last year. <br /> Pension Increase <br /> Des Englund and Jerry Peterson of the Relief Association requested a pension increase <br /> for the firefighters. Chief Bennett gave a presentation with a study of comparisons of <br /> pensions within surrounding areas. Milo explained that the increase would not effect the <br /> planned budget and would come from revenue earned by investments. A financial <br /> statement showing a very conservative break down of future earnings answered many <br /> questions asked. Treasurer of the Relief Association, Jerry Peterson, advised members <br />
