MEMO <br /> DATE : November 6, 1998 <br /> TO Honorable Mayor and Council <br /> FROM: Jim March <br /> RE Buechler Estates Preliminary Plat <br /> xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx <br /> Included in your packet is a copy of the preliminary plat for the development to be known as <br /> Buechler Estates. The planning and zoning commission held a public hearing on this development <br /> at their September Meeting. The motion was as follows: <br /> Ms. Broussard - Vickers moved to recommend to the Council approval of the preliminary plat <br /> subject to the concerns of the City Engineer and Public Works Director with special attention to <br /> the road and that the plat is presented to the Park and Recreation Commission at its next <br /> scheduled meeting. Chair Welk seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> Since the Planning and Zoning meeting, the plat was presented to the Park and Recreation <br /> Committee. The Council has since voted to accept $25,000 as park dedication. The prior <br /> concerns of the Engineer and Public Works Director/Building Official are included in your <br /> packet. The developer has offered to pay for 50% of the road reconstruction across the frontage <br /> of his property. <br /> Mr. Tom Peterson (Bonestroo) has been in contact with the Lino Lakes Engineer in regards to <br /> joint road construction and sewer extension possibilities to service the two Lino Lakes residents <br /> at the end of Mound Trail. Mr. Peterson will report on this matter at the meeting. Mr. Buechler <br /> has deposited escrow dollars with the City. He has indicated that he will finance all improvements <br /> privately. <br />
