MEMO DATE : November 6, 1998 TO Honorable Mayor and Council FROM: Jim March RE Buechler Estates Preliminary Plat xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Included in your packet is a copy of the preliminary plat for the development to be known as Buechler Estates. The planning and zoning commission held a public hearing on this development at their September Meeting. The motion was as follows: Ms. Broussard - Vickers moved to recommend to the Council approval of the preliminary plat subject to the concerns of the City Engineer and Public Works Director with special attention to the road and that the plat is presented to the Park and Recreation Commission at its next scheduled meeting. Chair Welk seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. Since the Planning and Zoning meeting, the plat was presented to the Park and Recreation Committee. The Council has since voted to accept $25,000 as park dedication. The prior concerns of the Engineer and Public Works Director/Building Official are included in your packet. The developer has offered to pay for 50% of the road reconstruction across the frontage of his property. Mr. Tom Peterson (Bonestroo) has been in contact with the Lino Lakes Engineer in regards to joint road construction and sewer extension possibilities to service the two Lino Lakes residents at the end of Mound Trail. Mr. Peterson will report on this matter at the meeting. Mr. Buechler has deposited escrow dollars with the City. He has indicated that he will finance all improvements privately.
