NOT AMPPn`!7D <br /> CITY OF CENTERVILLE <br /> JOINT COUNCIL MEETING <br /> WITH THE CITY OF CENTERVILLE <br /> JULY 22, 1998 <br /> Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the City Council of the <br /> City of Centerville held a special meeting on Wednesday, July 22, <br /> 1998 at the Centerville City Hall, 1880 Main Street. Mayor <br /> Wilharber called the meeting to order at 5:00 p.m. <br /> Present: Mavor Tom Wilharber <br /> Council Members: Theresa Brenner <br /> Sanna Buckbee <br /> Absent: Council Members: Mary Jo Helmbrecht <br /> Laura Powers <br /> Staff /Consultants Present: Jim March, City Administrator <br /> Ry -Chel Gaustad, City Clerk <br /> David Nyberg, Engineer <br /> The City of Lino Lakes Council Present: Mayor Sullivan; Council <br /> Members: Bergeson, Dahl, Lyden, and Neal. <br /> The Lino Lakes Staff present: Chief of Police /Interim City <br /> Administrator, David Pecchia; Community Development Director, <br /> Brian Wessel; City Engineer, David Ahrens; Consulting Engineer, <br /> John Powell (TKDA); and Clerk- Treasurer Marilyn Anderson. <br /> Mayor Wilharber introduced the Centerville City Council and Staff <br /> and the Lino Lakes City Council and Staff. He explained that the <br /> purpose of the joint meeting was to discuss upgrading 21st Avenue <br /> and the Lino Lakes /Centerville water interconnection. <br /> Mr. March explained that the condition of the 21st Avenue is a <br /> concern to adjacent businesses. They have requested a "quick <br /> fix" for this situation. This concern plus the need for both <br /> cities to work together to construct and maintain the street, <br /> prompted the joint meeting. <br /> Mr. March explained that he was happy to see the new convenience <br /> store at the corner of I -35E and Main Street. This new business <br /> will draw commercial interest for both the City of Centerville <br /> and the City of Lino Lakes. He suggested that a Joint Powers <br /> I <br />
