Navin explained, P &R addressed the lack of service Centerville has received
from North Metro Recreation Services. Communities recreation may provide a better
service to the citizens. Navin said, Centerville pays about $5.00 per household to North
Metro and the city doesn't know where these funds are spent. P &R would like to look
further into the joint powers agreement.
Buckbee asked if the school would participate. Navin will look into the schools
participation and /or interest. Navin said, if the City chooses not to go with the contract,
Centerville will be left out and may have to pay additional fees to be included in recreation
2
