City Council Meeting January 22, 1997 <br /> Wilharber commented Lexington is $57,000 behind on their police contract payment. <br /> Wilharber voiced his concern at the meeting. Helmbrecht asked the reason for the delay. <br /> Wilharber commented the new Administrator was unaware of some of the payment <br /> procedures. <br /> EDC- <br /> Brenner reported Mary Capra looked into the Welcome Wagon and it may be best for <br /> EDC to come up with their own idea and name, for economical reasons. Brenner <br /> mentioned the Lino Lakes Police Department delivers information to new residents. <br /> Brenner suggested talking to Mayor Wilharber about the Police Department delivering <br /> information to new residents. March spoke to Chief VanBurkleo, he said it is not a <br /> common practice to drop off books for the cities because they may be setting a <br /> precedence. <br /> ADMINISTRATOR REPORT: <br /> Strategic Planning Retreat - March suggested considering a future date now since this <br /> may take a whole day. Buckbee suggested one Saturday morning instead of several night <br /> meetings. Council elected March 8th, or 22nd. Wilharber suggested checking with <br /> Councilmember Powers - Rasmussen as to her availability, prior to scheduling the meeting. <br /> March mentioned Gaustad would like to receive a pager from the city. The billing goes to <br /> the city and then is charged to the employee. <br /> MOTION by Buckbee, seconded by Wilharber to authorize Ry -Chel to get a pager. <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br /> CONSENT AGENDA: <br /> 1. Employee raises per the workshop agreement for - <br /> * Public Works Director * Deputy Clerk/Treasurer <br /> 2. Renew Special Use Permits - <br /> Arcade Asphalt, 7055 - 21st Avenue, So. <br /> Casanova, Inc., 7129 - 20th Avenue, N. <br /> Eagle Trucking, 7087 - 20th Avenue, So. <br /> Integrity Systems, 1724 Main Street <br /> Noble Welding, 7075 - 2I st Avenue, So. <br /> Odyssey Lures, 7129 - 20th Avenue, N. <br /> RAD Paint, 7129 - 20th Avenue, N. <br /> MOTION by Buckbee, seconded by Helmbrecht to approve the consent agenda.
