CENTERVILLE ECONOMIC DEVELOPFfMT COMMITTEE <br /> REGULAR MEETING MINUTES <br /> TUESDAY January 21,1997 <br /> Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the Centerville Economic <br /> Development Committee held their regular scheduled meeting on <br /> January 21, 1997. Chairperson Tim Rehbine called the meeting to <br /> order at 7:10 P.M. Present: Dan Tourville, Mary Capra, John <br /> Magill (7:15 P.M.), Paul Montain (8:15 P.M.), Theresa Brenner, <br /> Jim March. <br /> Approval of November 1996 Minutes <br /> Motion by Paul Montain, seconded by John Magill to approve the <br /> November 1996 meeting minutes. Dan Tourville - Abstain, Mary <br /> Capra - Abstain, Tim Rehbine - Aye. <br /> Approval of December 1996 Minutes <br /> Motion by Dan Tourville, seconded by Mary Capra to approve the <br /> December 1996 Minutes. John Magill - Abstain, Paul Montain - <br /> Abstain, Tim Rehbine - Aye. <br /> Star City Goals and Objectives <br /> Theresa Brenner stated that they need to update the goals & <br /> objectives. She would like to see a EDC member do the updates. <br /> Dan Tourville suggested for Goal #2 Obj. #2 Task C to invite <br /> Dennis Zerwas to our next meeting to see if he would like to come <br /> out and talk about airing things over the Cable channel. Theresa <br /> Brenner will talk to Dennis and see if he will meet with staff. <br /> Jim March stated that their has been an increase in businesses <br /> calling into City Hall that are looking for new sites. He will <br /> be talking to the Council tomorrow night about types of <br /> incentives the city would be willing to offer. <br /> John Magill will try to get another business owner lined up for <br /> our next meeting. <br /> Dan Tourville suggested contacting Reel Mfg and see if the would <br /> be interested or Ken Strantz from Performance Auto. <br /> Floodplain <br /> Jim March stated the current building elevation for commercial <br /> sites is 1 foot above Floodplain. Tim Rehbine thinks we need to <br /> clarify it if is determined by ordinance Jim March will check it <br /> out. <br /> MUSA /Comp Plan /City Water /Downtown Zoning <br /> The Comp Plan is going into review for the changes made on the <br /> growth management plan. The Council will be reviewing this issue <br /> tomorrow night. Dean Johnson stated the wording is already in <br />
