CITY OF CENTERVILLE <br /> PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION <br /> TUESDAY, APRIL 1, 1997 <br /> Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of <br /> Centerville held their regular meeting and a public hearing on April 1, 1997 at City Hall, 1880 <br /> Main Street, Centerville, MN 55038. <br /> PRESENT: Chairperson Dan Tourville <br /> Kathy Welk <br /> Allan LaMotte <br /> Linda Broussard- Vickers <br /> ABSENT: Tina Vermeulen <br /> STAFF /CONSULTANTS: Jim March, City Administrator <br /> Ry -Chel Gaustad, City Clerk <br /> Mary Jo Helmbrecht, Planning and Zoning Liaison <br /> CONSIDERATION FOR VARIANCE <br /> PUBLIC HEARING CALLED TO ORDER AT 7:10 P.M. <br /> Chairperson Dan Tourville opened the public hearing to discuss a zero lot line variance request <br /> from John Magill, Owner of Comer Express. Mr. Magill described the desire to expand the car <br /> wash to add a third stall. Mr. Tourville asked, "Will the car wash addition be coin operated ?" <br /> Mr. Magill replied in the future all the stalls may be automatic. Mr. Tourville asked, "Has Eagle_ <br /> Trucking been notified of the zero lot line request ?" Mr. Magill explained, Mr. Huber of Eagle <br /> Trucking had been notified and did not have a problem with the expansion request. <br /> Mr. Tourville asked the additional footage amount. Mr. Magill commented it would be 54' in <br /> length and 20' in width. Mr. Tourville asked if there was some confusion between the 15' or 20' <br /> indicated on the map. Mr. Magill guessed 15 to 20 feet. The building addition will be about 5' <br /> feet from the property line, however since the property line is tapered it was hard to be exact. T <br /> Mr. Tourville asked, "Has there been much traffic on the south side of the building ?" Mr. Magill <br /> explained bigger vehicles have a problem making the corner, although snowmobiles and other <br /> vehicles use it and they don't have any problems. <br /> Mr. Tourville explained in the past there has been questions and concerns accessing County Road <br />
