MEMO <br /> DATE : March 20, 1997 <br /> TO Honorable Mayor and Council <br /> FROM : Jim March <br /> RE Electrical Inspector Contract <br /> Attached is a blank copy of the contract that we have with Ken <br /> Peterson of Suburban Inspections. we have been contracting with <br /> Ken to provide electrical inspections for less than a year. In <br /> discussing this situation with staff, the consensus is that Ken <br /> is providing a better service to the citizens than the State of <br /> MN did in the past. The City is also retaining a portion of the <br /> fees for inspections, whereas the City did not receive any <br /> revenue when we contracted with the State. I recommend that we <br /> renew the contract with Suburban Inspections for a period of two <br /> years commencing on April 1, 1997 and expiring on March 31, 1999. <br />
