City Council Workshop Meeting Minutes of February 4, 1997 <br /> CITY OF CENTERVILLE <br /> CITY COUNCIL <br /> SURFACE WATER MANAGEMENT PLAN <br /> WORKSHOP MEETING OF FEBRUARY 4, 1997 <br /> Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the City Council of the City of Centerville held a Surface <br /> Water Management Plan workshop meeting on February 4, 1997, at City Hall. Mayor Tom <br /> Wilharber called the workshop meeting to order at 5:05 P.M. <br /> PRESENT: Mayor Tom Wilharber <br /> Sanna Buckbee <br /> Theresa Brenner <br /> ABSENT: Mary Jo Helmbrecht <br /> Laura Powers - Rasmussen <br /> STAFF /CONSULTANTS: Jim March David Nyberg <br /> Ry -Chel Gaustad <br /> SURFACE WATER MANAGEMENT PLAN: <br /> David Nyberg, MSA Consulting Engineers briefed the council on the City's Surface Water Supply' <br /> Plan. Nyberg suggested updating the 1996 Surface Water Supply Plan to include the <br /> interconnect. <br /> Wilharber suggested discussing the available options with the interconnect and set a time line for <br /> completion. Buckbee mentioned, with the industrial base outlook she would like to see the <br /> interconnect completed by fall of 1997. Brenner agreed with Buckbee. <br /> March suggested having a public informational meeting. Nyberg agreed with March since several <br /> of the property owners have large assessments on their properties such as Reel Manufacturing and - <br /> Carpenter's. <br /> Nyberg commented the 1997 Water Supply Plan will be submitted to the Met Council with the <br /> interconnect updates. Nyberg asked if the plan should go before the council or be discussed with <br /> staff before submitting to the Met Council. Wilharber suggested the City have a better <br /> understanding of the needs and benefit to the property owners. <br /> Wilharber asked the views of the council. The Council consensus was to discuss the plan withl <br /> City Council before submitting to Met Council. Brenner requested the updates be highlighted or <br />
