Mr. March reported the city received a letter from the Federal Emergency Management Agency <br /> (FEMA). The letter indicated the 90 day comment period expired and no comments were <br /> received. <br /> Mr. March reported the Planning and Zoning Commission received a request from Mr. Gerald <br /> Rehbein, for a lot split. The Planning and Zoning Commission is considering a new zoning <br /> district. The lot split is to accommodate two businesses looking at the three properties available. <br /> Mr. Don Casanova (Casanova, Inc.) has money down on one lot and is pursuing a Contract for <br /> Deed on another lot. The third lot is reserved for an Electrician. The new zoning district <br /> proposed is light industrial. The Planning and Zoning developed permitted principal uses for the <br /> light industrial district. However, the requirements are vague. The Planning and Zoning <br /> Commission plan to meet in July to discuss the lot split and new zoning district. <br /> CONSENT AGENDA: <br /> Newsletter Due Date Thursday, June 26, 1997 - <br /> The Council requested the Sprinkler Ordinance be on the front page of the newsletter. Further <br /> suggesting, remarking on the approved FEMA maps; refurbishing the 1953 Studebaker Fire <br /> Truck; noise ordinance; camp fire regulations and note the curfew hours. <br /> Councilmember Helmbrecht complained the Eagle Pass construction trucks are beginning <br /> operation around 6.30 A.M. <br /> Council consideration for water service to 7246 Mill Road - <br /> Meeting opened at 8:45 P.M. to discuss consideration of providing water service to 7246 Mill <br /> Road. <br /> MOTION by Councilmember Brenner to close the meeting at 8:45 P.M. Motion seconded by <br /> Councilmember Powers. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> MOTION by Councilmember Helmbrecht to approve the Gulsvigs petition to hook up to the <br /> municipal water supply from Prairie Drive to the property. In addition, charge a rate adjusted for <br /> inflation of $1672.75 and the $1300 hook up fees. Motion seconded by Councilmember Brenner. <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br /> Resolution 97 -10 <br /> Mayor Wilharber read aloud Resolution 97 -10. <br /> MOTION by Councilmember Powers to approve the preparation and submittal of the funding <br /> application to the Metropolitan Council and designating signature authority for the City. Motion <br /> seconded by Councilmember Brenner. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> MOTION by Councilmember Powers to adjourn the June 9, 1997 Council meeting. Motion <br /> seconded by Councilmember Brenner. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> Meeting adjourned at 8:55 P.M. <br /> 7 <br />
