1. Check to see if all connections are secure at the terminals oa the <br /> register and on the back of the touch pad (make certain that bare wires <br /> are not touching each other at the terminals) - <br /> 2. Chec's to see if there is a broken or shorted wire bet:veea the resister <br /> and the touch pad. Check the staoies to make sure they have rot cut <br /> into the cable and shorted the wires. <br /> a. Disconnect the wires f--OM, the installed register te`-ainais a-.d <br /> connect to another test register. If a reading cannot be obtained <br /> through the touch pad, the problem most likely is in the cable. <br /> Special Note: Howei w an additional checl4 a d jercnt touch paid should be utilized in an atternp. to secare a <br /> reeding before rime is spent on checking the cable. <br /> b. Following the above procedure will verify a broken or shorted cable, <br /> a faulty ECP register or a faulty touch pad.
