WEEK =N REV = EW
Edition # 38 11 -03 -97 through 11 -07 -97
-----------------------------------------------------------------
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Building permits issued this period = 4
Building permits issued YTD = 151
* The pro -rated rent was received from US West for the second
antenna lease that was previously approved. Their lease
commencement date was November 1, 1997. The rent was for
November and December. In January we will receive the full
rent for 1998. They plan to install their antennas next
spring.
* I attended both the Park and Recreation and Planning and
Zoning meetings this week. Parks and Recreation did not seem
to have a problem with broadcasting their meetings live on
cable. Some members of Planning and Zoning seemed very
resistant to the idea to the point of saying they would resign
if the broadcasting occurred. If the Council would like to
pursue this idea a formal motion at the next meeting would be
appropriate. I believe we would have to provide a more
attractive compensation package to the current cable operator
to have here run the cameras at the meetings.
* City Hall closed next week Tuesday for Veterans Day.
* Our new one ton truck will be in early next week.
* I received a phone call from a developer that is interested in
constructing a town home project. I also received a call from
a businessowner that may be interested in relocating.
* Paul and I reviewed the revised version of the surface water
management plan and provided input to Dave Nyberg and
Christopher Bolt in a meeting on Thursday afternoon. The plan
will be revised and the changes will be brought to a future
Council meeting for review before the plan is sent in for
final approval.
