CITY OF CENTERVILLE <br /> CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br /> WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 24, 1997 <br /> Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the City Council of the City of Centerville held their <br /> regularly scheduled meeting on Wednesday, September 24, 1997 in the Council Chambers of the <br /> City Hall, 1880 Main Street. The meeting was called to order by Mayor Tom Wilharber at 6:00 <br /> p.m. <br /> COUNCIL PRESENT: Mayor Tom Wilharber <br /> Council Members: Mary Jo Helmbrecht <br /> Theresa Brenner <br /> ABSENT: Council Members: Sanna Buckbee <br /> Laura Powers <br /> STAFF PRESENT: City Administrator Jim March <br /> City Clerk Ry -Chel Gaustad <br /> Public Works/Building Official Paul Palzer <br /> City Engineer David Nyberg <br /> CALL TO ORDER <br /> PUBLIC HEARING CONTINUED TO CONSIDER TAX INCREMENT FINANCING <br /> Mr. March explained the public hearing is a continuation from August 27, 1997. Also, Mr. March <br /> noted the purpose of the public hearing is to provide modification to Tax Increment District 1 -3. <br /> Mr. Sid Inman (Ehlers & Associates Financial Advisor) explained the modifications to district 1 -3 <br /> will allow the City to disburse TIF funds for park dedication, sewer and water updates and senior <br /> housing needs. There was no further discussion. <br /> MOTION by Councilmember Brenner to close the public hearing at 6:05 p.m. Motion seconded <br /> by Councilmember Helmbrecht. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> PUBLIC HEARING TO CONSIDER SENIOR HOUSING GENERAL OBLIGATION <br /> BONDS <br /> Senior housing GO bonds public hearing opened at 6:05 p.m. <br /> Mr. Inman reported the Council will have an opportunity to pass a resolution in October to back <br /> the bonds for a senior housing facility. There was no further discussion. <br />
