MEMO <br /> DATE November 7, 1997 <br /> TO Honorable Mayor and Council <br /> FROM Jim March <br /> RE 800 mhz radio system <br /> The Anoka County Board of Commissioners request that we appoint <br /> one elected official and one appointed official to work with them <br /> to develop language for a joint powers agreement. Included in <br /> this section is a letter from the County on this issue. I would <br /> be willing to accept this appointment as an appointed official, <br /> but I believe it may be more appropriate to have the Public Works <br /> Director serve in this capacity since this system would primarily <br /> affect our public works radio communications. I have also had <br /> discussions on this issue with Fire Chief Milo Bennett and am <br /> aware that he has been extremely active on this issue. This <br /> would be a long term project with probably quarterly meetings. <br />
