Also inclosed is analysis r,,:f+pfeted by the Anoka County Radio System Planning Committee examining the various opccaa available for dealing with radio traffic and quality issues in the future. The Committee analys:,a rt_termfnes that, at the present time, the best course of action would be for us to join the radio system 800 mhz backbone system in about 2002. Based upon this analysis, th€ ., n, which is required by statute to be submitted to the Metropolitan Radio Board, describe +)w the transition to the 800 mhz system would be accomplished. The submission of this plan does no? vecably commit us to this course of action, however, it does ensure that the necessary char: „ will be reserved for our area when and if we do move forward. Clearly, given the tremend, ,: costs Involved, considerable additional thought will be necessary.
