3. Editorial Work, <br /> The Codifier will prepare the Code to include: <br /> a. Proper Phraseology - Concise, modern and proper phraseology, without conflicts, <br /> ambiguities and repetitious provisions. <br /> b. Title or Chapter Arrangement - Each title or chapter of the new Code shall embrace all <br /> ordinances of the same subject matter. Within the chapter itself., the ordinances shall be <br /> arranged in an orderly and logical fashion. to include articles and divisions as necessary. <br /> Titles, chapters and sections may be reserved by the City for future expansion. <br /> C. Implement all approved recisions and perform, rewriting and drafting as required. <br /> d. Table of Contents - This table will list the titles or chapters of the Code, and other <br /> applicable major divisions, giving the page number upon which each begins. <br /> e. Title or Chapter Analysis - Each title will list all chapters; each chapter will be preceded <br /> by a detailed analysis listing the sections. <br /> f. Catchlines - Each section will be preceded by a catchline, which shall reflect the content <br /> of the section. <br /> g. History Notes - A history note will be prepared for each section of the new Code. The <br /> note will indicate the source from which the section is derived. If the section is derided <br /> from the existing Code, the appropriate section of that Code will be cited, together with <br /> amendatory ordinances. <br /> h. Cross References and Footnotes - Cross references will be prepared to tie together related <br /> sections of the new Code. Proper explanation will also be made in the form of footnotes <br /> to relevant provisions of the Code. <br /> 4. Notice of Com lion of F.dit Wor . <br /> Two weeks prior to completion of all editorial work, the Codifier will notify the City in <br /> writing the date that the Code draft will be ready for typesetting and printing. No <br /> additional ordinances will be included in the Code draft subsequent to that date. <br /> 5. Typesetting and bra_.,f <br /> After typesetting has been completed, the Codifier will submit a draft of the proposed <br /> Code to the City for review. The Codifier will be responsible for proofreading and <br /> typographical correctness.
