Because the work was below
grade, the tile damage was not known.
Question: How can the problem be fixed?
The entire drain tile system on the project will be verified to be in working order and any
additional problem areas will bo repaired and corrected by the Contractor. Repairs will
include replacement of drain tile or installation of additional tile behind the curb.
Questions: Who is responsible and who pays for the correction?
The Contractor is responsible for installing the improvements to the requirements of the
plans and speclficat!or,s. `JVith this in mind, the Contractor will complete verification of
the drain tile system and correct any additional problems that are encountered. This
work will be completed at the cost of the Contractor.
We will be continuing to work with the Contractor on this issue until assurance is
provided that the entire subgrade dra;nage system is in good working order. We will
keep Councilmembers Brenner and He!mbrecht and Public Works Director Paul Palzer
informed o` the Contractor's activities until completicn of the testing work.
Please let us know if you have any questions about the abova issues. We will be in attendance
at the October 8th CoLinc:il meeting to further d',scuss this matter.
Sincerely
pVp R. Green Company
vid E.
