CITY OF ARDEN HILLS - ENGINEERING SERVICES <br /> Request for Proposals <br /> _REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS <br /> The City of Arden Hills is seeking proposals from qualified engineering consultants to provide our <br /> community with municipal engineering services. The City's present assigned lead has recently <br /> merged with another firm; and the City feels it is appropriate to consider the market for consulting <br /> engineering services. <br /> CITY INFORMATION <br /> The City of Arden Hills currently has a population of approximately, 9,500 and is approximately 95% <br /> developed. However, should the Twin City Army Ammunition Plant be excessed by the Federal <br /> government, the City will need to plan and construct the infrastructure necessary to support the <br /> development of this 2,400 acre site. The City is involved in a progressive street maintenance program <br /> which will be the primary responsibility of the engineering firm selected. <br /> SCOPE OF SERVICES <br /> The scope of services requested is outlined in the attached exhibit. Ten (10) copies of your proposal must <br /> be submitted to the City Administrator no later than August 15, 1997 at 11:00 a.m. The City Council <br /> anticipates selecting an engineering consultant on or before September 8, 1997. Your proposal should <br /> include information listed in Exhibit "A" attached. <br /> SELECTION ACTIVITIES AND TIME SCHEDULE <br /> Date Event <br /> July 14, 1997 RFP approved by Council <br /> July 15, 1997 RFP mailed to engineering firms <br /> August 15, 1997 Deadline for submitting RFP <br /> August 18, 1997 Council makes decision on review process for <br /> selection of engineer <br /> August 19 - <br /> September 5, 1997 Applications reviewed/interviews <br /> September 8, 1997 City Council selects engineering firm <br /> September 29, 1997 Contract prepared for Council consideration <br /> November 1, 1997 Contract effective date <br /> DISCLAIMER <br /> The City intends to interview firms the weeks of August 25 or September 1, 1997. Upon review of the <br /> proposals, the City retains the right to further reduce the number of firms to be interviewed.
