CITY OF ARDEN HILLS - ENGINEERING SERVICES <br /> Request for Proposals <br /> 3. Streets, including State Aid streets, construction, and management. <br /> 4. Public utility planning and construction supervision. <br /> j. "Private" public utility (gas, electric, communication cable) coordination management. <br /> 6. Transportation planning and consultation. <br /> 7. Environmental concerns review and planning. ' <br /> 8. Review and approval of plats, minor subdivisions and site plans. <br /> 9. Miscellaneous and Administrative abilities as follows: <br /> A. Primary Engineer must have good communication skills with the ability to <br /> professionally represent the City at various public meetings and hearings; <br /> B. Construction Inspectors must have good practical experience and ability to work <br /> in a harmonious manner; <br /> C. Construction Inspector to be accessible by cell phone; <br /> D. Primary Engineer and Primary Inspector must have experience and back up <br /> support and a continuity in their relationship to the City; and <br /> E. Primary Engineer and Primary Inspector must have good communications with <br /> the City and give quick, reasonable responses to the City Council, staff and <br /> general public. <br /> 10. Assist Public Works, Parks and Recreation, Community DeveloVment, and <br /> Planning/Zoning Departments in technical aspects and keep the respective department(s) <br /> informed as to the latest technologies conceming operations affecting operations in each <br /> of those respective departments. <br /> 11. Additional desired experience and capabilities: <br /> A. Familiarity with Pavement Management software and records; <br /> B. Familiarity and accessibility to geographic information systems; <br /> C. Federal and State Grant application/funding exterience` <br />
