CITY OF CENTERVILLE <br /> CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br /> NOVEMBER 13, 1996 <br /> Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the City Council of the City of Centerville held a <br /> regular council meeting on November 13, 1996, at the City Hall. Acting Mayor <br /> Helmbrecht called the meeting to order at 6:02 P.M. <br /> PRESENT: Mary Jo Helmbrecht Theresa Brenner <br /> Sanna Buckbee <br /> ABSENT: Tom Wilharber <br /> Laura Powers- Rasmussen <br /> STAFF /CONSULTANTS: Jim March Gregory Hellings <br /> Ry -Chel Gaustad Carolyn Drude <br /> David Nyberg <br /> PUBLIC HEARING - DELINQUEN1 UTE ITiES: WATEI SEWE a <br /> GARBAGE, <br /> Helmbrecht opened the Delinquent Utilities Public Hearing. It was mentioned the city has <br /> the authority to place delinquent utilities onto property taxes through the county. <br /> Helmbrecht opened the floor for discussion. Joseph Salhstrom of 1605 Peltier Lake <br /> Drive, objected to the late fees. Mr. Salhstrom presented canceled checks supporting his <br /> objection. Mr. Salhstrom requested the council consider allowing residents to use any <br /> garbage hauler. <br /> Helmbrecht said his name will be removed from the assessment list. <br /> MOTION by Brenner, seconded by Helmbrecht to close the public hearing. Motion <br /> carried unanimously. <br /> MOTION by Brenner, seconded by Helmbrecht to approve the resolution for the <br /> delinquent sewer bills to be certified to the county auditor, under code 825.98. Motion <br /> carried unanimously. <br />
