City Council minutes of May 22, 1996 <br /> Mr. Goertz stated that the assurance of the grade is a condition of the occupancy permit. <br /> Mr. Nyberg stated that when the council met in March regarding the variance needed on <br /> the cul -de -sac, Mr. Goertz said he wasn't going to start until July 1st. Mr. Nyberg stated <br /> that RCWD is waiting for Mr. Rehbein's wetland replacement plan to be approved before <br /> approving the Clearwater Meadows plat. Mr. Nyberg feels it would be appropriate to <br /> approve with contingencies at the June 12th meeting. <br /> Staff is directed to schedule and post a special meeting notice for June 5, 1996, at 5:00 <br /> p.m. and a workshop notice for May 29, 1996 at 5:00 p.m. to discuss the Clearwater <br /> Meadows project. <br /> MOTION by Brenner, second by Helmbrecht to table Clearwater Meadows for further <br /> discussion at the workshop scheduled for May 29, 1996. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> School Water Project <br /> Mr. Nyberg informed the council that a gas main needs to be relocated, the gas main had <br /> shifted from the located from NSP. This would be an additional cost of $10- 15,000 and <br /> will be handled as a field order - no council action is required. <br /> Councihember Powers - Rasmussen brought up the 8" watermain pipe located at Peterson <br /> Trail and Main Street that was discussed at a previous meeting. Mr. Nyberg stated the <br /> short distance of 90' would not affect the fire flow. It is a restriction but it is not worth <br /> tearing up the road to do it. <br /> Councilmember Helmbrecht questioned why not correct it if it is a restriction. Powers - <br /> Rasmussen added that the drawing shows it being replaced. Brenner commented she <br /> believes the cost is reasonable and would solve a drainage problem also. <br /> Mayor Wilharber stated he agrees with the engineers statement. <br /> Mr. Palzer stated he spoke to the Fire Chief regarding hydrant flows. Councilmember <br /> Helmbrecht stated that the Fire Chief has a concern for the fire protection for the <br /> downtown area. Mayor Wilharber stated that the cost would have to be passed to the <br /> residents. <br /> Mr. Nyberg stated he would compute the cost of the 90' pipe to 12 ". <br /> MOTION by Powers - Rasmussen, second by Brenner to approve the change of 8" pipe to <br /> 12" at a cost not to exceed $8,775.00, contingent upon the engineer reviewing the <br /> proposal from Ro -So. Motion carried, Wilharber voted against. <br /> MOTION by Brenner, second by Powers - Rasmussen to approve resolution 96 -19, a <br /> resolution establishing procedures relating to compliance with reimbursement bond <br /> regulations under the Internal Revenue code.
