City Council minutes of May 22, 1996 <br /> It was noted to apply for the loan a documented study on what repairs need to be done, <br /> official meeting minutes and a resolution approving the application need to be submitted <br /> also. <br /> Mr. Nyberg extended a personal note to the council. He told them not to feel bad about <br /> Mr. Goertz. Because Centerville is growing and updating the comp plan more developers <br /> will be coming to town and the city should get want it wants from the developer. <br /> Councilmember Brenner stated that the city does need to improve on the quality of <br /> service. <br /> Waterworks Functions <br /> Mr. Sorenson stated they had met with the Fire and Police Chiefs, Councilmember <br /> Buckbee and Waterworks staff to address the concerns expressed in the past from <br /> functions similar to this. <br /> Proceeds from the Summer Jam are going to the Children's Hospital, Councilmember <br /> Powers - Rasmussen offered to help with the benefit. <br /> Notification will be sent to the neighbors jointly from Waterworks and KDWB. <br /> Summer Jam is scheduled for Sunday, June 30th in the afternoon, exact time are not clear. <br /> The Jet Ski Show is scheduled for August 3rd, this is an official MRP event. <br /> MOTION by Hehnbrecht to approve the noise permit for Summer Jam. Helmbrecht then <br /> rescinded her motion asking Mr. Sorenson to come back with definite times and the <br /> parking issue settled. <br /> Personnel Policy <br /> MOTION by Hehnbrecht, second by Powers - Rasmussen to amend the personnel policy to <br /> reflect the motion made at the April 24, 1996 meeting regarding dental insurance. <br /> MOTION by Helmbrecht, second by Brenner to continue to carry the <br /> Comprehensive Plan with Family coverage with the city paying 90% of the <br /> monthly premium. The employee does have to the option to take dental <br /> only as long as they have medical insurance elsewhere. Motion carried <br /> unanimously. <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br /> Workshop for Senior Housing <br /> Councilmember Brenner reported that Steve Griesert has completed the final study for the <br /> senior housing and would like to set up a workshop to review. <br /> Staff is to schedule a workshop for Wednesday, June 19, 1996 at 6:00 p.m., and to invite <br /> Anoka County BRA. <br /> CC5 -22MM.
