<br />Mr. Meyer indicated that there is a remediation grant that the City could get up to <br />$350,000 and the DNR has recommended that the City apply for both of them and see <br />how things play out. <br /> <br />City Administrator Larson indicated that the City will need to restructure the Purchase <br />Agreement to allow an extended option on 2/3 to obligate the City at this time to 1/3 of it <br />because the dollars cannot be committed in order to qualify for the grant. <br /> <br />Council Member Lee indicated he would be fine with it if the Board of Water <br />Commissioners agrees but he wants to revert to the original option. <br /> <br />City Attorney Hoeft suggested creating an option to purchase from now until six months <br />from now before entering into a Purchase Agreement. <br /> <br />Council Member Lee indicated he would like Staff to work with the Board of Water <br />Commissioners to see what they would agree to. <br /> <br />Council agreed to an option payment but expressed concern with losing the right to <br />purchase the property or having the price change. <br /> <br />Council agreed to make sure that the City does not lose the property or pay more money <br />but would like to get the grant if at all possible. <br /> <br />Motion bv Council Member Lakso. seconded bv Council Member Terwav. to set a <br />public hearine on the applications at the February 22. 2006 meetine for <br />consideration of the outdoor recreation erant. <br /> <br />Motion bv Council Member Terwav. seconded bv Council Member Lee. to <br />authorize Staff to submit for a Capital Bondine Request for Land Acquisition of <br />$350.000. All in favor. Motion carried unanimouslv. <br /> <br />Council Member Terway suggested asking for funds for Centerville Road. <br /> <br />Mr. Meyer indicated that these projects currently have federal funding attached to them <br />but there is nothing on Centerville Road right now. <br /> <br />Mayor Capra indicated that she would like to have Staff solicit input from Lino Lakes <br />and Anoka County to determine whether they want to participate in this. Mr. Meyer <br />indicated that he would look into it. <br /> <br />Motion bv Council Member Lee. seconded bv Council Member Paar to authorize <br />Staff to investieate the Capital Bondine Bill and select the best potential success of <br />the three options presented.
