<br />City of Centerville <br />Council Meeting <br />October 12, 2011 <br />being provided without any financial increases to the City. Mr. Tolzman also stated that <br />he services the cities of Columbus, East Bethel and Spring Lake Park and is housed out <br />of Forest Lake with his hours being extermly available for residents. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Love, seconded by Council Member Paar, to Extend <br />Mr. Ken Tolzmann, City Assessor’s Contract for an additional three (3) years. All <br />in favor. Motion passed unanimously. <br /> <br /> <br />VII.OLD BUSINESS <br /> <br />Ord. #50, Second Series – Amending City Code Authorizing Permits for Use of <br />1. <br />Special Vehicles on City Streets ~ Tabled from Previous Meeting <br /> <br />Administrator Larson stated that the presented ordinance contained suggested <br />modifications from the previous meeting. Legal Counsel Glaser reviewed the most <br />significant modification being made is allowing all terrain vehicle usage with special <br />events with the ability of waiving parts of the provisions if deemed appropriate. Legal <br />Counsel Glaser also reviewed an additional modification providing an exemption of <br />commercial or business operations of these special vehicles; however, all others would <br />need to be permitted. Lengthy discussion took place. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Fehrenbacher, seconded by Council Member Love, to <br />approve Ord. #50, Second Series as presented. All in favor. King opposed. Motion <br />passed. <br /> <br /> <br />VIII.NEW BUSINESS <br /> <br />Mr. Ken Tolzmann – City Assessor Contract Renewal Extension for Additional <br />1. <br />Three (3) years <br /> <br />Discussed previously. <br /> <br />2. Parks & Recreation Committee Request to Reserve $1,500 (Fund #101-45201- <br />370) From 2011 Budget for Signage Procurement for Trails <br /> <br />Council Member King stated P &R discussed and have bills to be paid off and reseve left <br />over dedicate for signage. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member King, seconded by Council Member Fehrenbacher, to <br />Approve P & R’s request to reserve $1,500 from Fund #101-45201-370 from the <br />2011 Budget for Signage Procurement for Trails. All in favor. Motion passed <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />3. Res. #11-021 – Authorizing Fund Balance Policy <br />a.
