Parks & Recreation Committee <br /> Meeting Minutes 11 -02 -11 <br /> 2. Park Benches for Trailside Park <br /> It was reported that Bald Eagle Ski Club President Mr. Tom Kohl would be meeting with <br /> Chairperson Branch to discuss accessibility requirements and seating options at the park. <br /> 3. Forwarded Requests for Donations — (Deadbroke Saddle Club, Eaglebrook <br /> Church & Running Aces) <br /> Nothing to report. <br /> 4. Cornerstone Park Kiosk <br /> Committee Member Amundsen like the sample Chairperson Branch provided to the <br /> Committee but requested that Bonstroo's information be removed from it. Council <br /> Member King felt that an arrow would be more understandable than the "You are Here" <br /> star. <br /> Staff Member Palzer stated that he would request the City Clerk to make the above stated <br /> modifications prior to placement at City Hall and within the kiosk. <br /> 5. Request for Use of Laurie LaMotte Hockey Rink for Practice — Mr. Tom Berg <br /> Vice Chairperson Grahek felt that due to lack of a schedule this item could not be <br /> considered. Committee Member Seeley felt that if there were a lack of requests the <br /> Committee should offer the same hours, days and use requirements as in previous years. <br /> Staff Member Palzer was requested to provide the Committee with last years agreement <br /> completed by Mr. Berg for further consideration. <br /> Due to lack of information provided, no action was taken on this item. <br /> 6. 2012 Skating Night dates <br /> Committee Member Amundsen discussed rates for the horse drawn sleigh (525 /first hour <br /> and $125 for the second hour with both dates, January 14 & 28 being available with <br /> Bunker Stables. It was felt that the times of the event should remain the same as previous <br /> years (6 -8:00 p.m.) <br /> Discussion ensued regarding the placement of the Public Works Garage and the need for a <br /> selected bonfire site. Staff Member Palzer stated that he currently did not have a <br /> suggested site, however, would provide a suggested site at their next meeting. <br /> The Committee discussed popcorn and hot chocolate serving and remain stock of these <br /> items. <br /> 3 of 4 <br />
