Parks & Recreation Committee <br /> Meeting Minutes 11 -02 -11 <br /> Killmer Electric in an amount not exceed $800. Mr. Faust has stated that he has <br /> raised approximately $500 for this item; however, an additional $300 is needed to <br /> secure the installation. It was felt that the Committee would request Council <br /> consider appropriating funds from the signage fund for the remaining $300 that is <br /> needed to allow completion of the project prior to winter. <br /> Mr. Faust stated that an upcoming Dedication Ceremony has been scheduled for <br /> November 10 at 4:00 p.m. at the park and Mr. Faust's request for local dignitaries <br /> presence at the event. Mr. Faust also stated that the plaque would be completed <br /> and mounted prior to the ceremony. He would meet with Committee Member <br /> Amundsen to determine is exact location. <br /> Motion was made by Committee Member Suzanne Seeley, seconded by Committee <br /> Member Kevin Amundsen, to recommend to Council that $300 be allocated from <br /> the Signage Fund for the illumination of the flag. All in favor. Motion passed <br /> unanimously. <br /> The Committee requested that Staff Member Palzer make copies of the Veteran's <br /> Memorial and Park Dedication flyer with postings being placed at City Hall and in the <br /> Kiosk located at the park. <br /> IV. CONSIDERATIONS OF MINUTES <br /> 1. October 5, 2011 Parks & Recreation Committee Meeting Minutes <br /> A Committee Member requested that language be added regarding the purpose of the <br /> Lions Special Event Permit request for the use of the warning house facility for their <br /> annual Haunted House. <br /> Motion was made by Vice Chairperson Jon Grahek, seconded by Committee <br /> Member Brian Peterson, to approve the October 5, 2011 Parks & Recreation <br /> Committee Meeting Minutes with the above addition. All in favor. Committee <br /> Member Haiden abstained. Motion passed. <br /> V. COMMITTEE BUSINESS <br /> . 1. Council Updates - Council Member Steve King <br /> Council Member King stated that Council approved their requests to allocate funds to a <br /> reserve account for trail signage in the amount of and the placement of an aluminum can <br /> collection trailer provided by National Recycling, Inc. for no fee at Laurie LaMotte Park <br /> to earn additional funding for park programs. <br /> Staff Member Palzer reported that Eagle Park had recently sustained graffiti both on the <br /> tennis court and the sign. <br /> 2 of 4 <br />
