ANNOUNCEMENTSIUPDATES 1. Re.port on Anoka Co1lIltY Senate District Meeting Ms. Moore-Sykes indicated that she, along with Mayor Sweeney and Council Member Capra, attended the Anoka County Senate District meeting. She then indicated that there were interesting and informative discussions. Mayor Sweeney commented that the light rail is popular with those on the western side of the County, posing a bit of east/west conflict. Council Member Capra indicated that they were looking for som~ne to serve on a committee to review a County-wide housing and redevelopment for Anoka.County. She then commented that there is concern from those cities on the eastern side of the County that their residents would be paying for development in the western cities. Ms. Paulseth indicated the BRA has the ability to levy and as far as EDA levies, they typically have very little impact on the individual property owner. Page 12 of 14
