AD in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />2. Centerville Lion's Recwest to Use 1694 Sorel (Old Public Works Site) for <br />Haunted House <br /> <br />Mayor Sweeney indicated the Lion's are seeking approval to use the old public works site <br />for the haunted house again this year. He then asked for approval to make some <br />temporary walls in the garage area. <br /> <br /> <br />Council Member Capra indicated she would I' <br /> <br />Council Mem <br /> <br />apra asked that the fire department review it for safety. <br /> <br />Fire Chief Bennett indicated they would take care of it. <br /> <br />Motion bv Council Member Lee. seconded bv Council Member Broussard Vickers <br />to aDD rove the use of the old DubUc works site by the CenterviUe Lions for the <br />haunted house and aoon-ove the wall Dainone. temoon-arv wall construction and to <br />require a fire department inspection of the haunted house. Aves - 4. Nays - O. <br />Abstain -1{Sweenev). Motion carried. <br /> <br />3. Centennial Lakes Police Department Letter <br /> <br />Ms. Moore-Sykes indicated that the City of Circle Pines has submitted a letter indicating <br />that they cannot afford to contribute the dollar amount requested by the Police <br />Commission for the 2004 budget and indicating they intend to contribute the same <br />amount as 2003. <br /> <br />Mayor Sweeney indicated the percentages changed and the City of Circle Pines has gone <br />up while the other two have gone down. He then said that if the City of Circle Pines does <br />not provide the amount asked by the Commission then it means that they cannot hire the <br />two officers that they are down or it puts them in a position of hiring the two replacement <br />officers and asking the other officers not to take pay increases. <br /> <br />Council Member Capra asked if the City of Circle Pines is saying they cannot afford their <br />contribution. <br /> <br />Page 5 of 14 <br />
