AIl in favor. Motion carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />IV. CONSENT AGENDA <br /> <br />1. The City of Centerville July 10, 2003 through July 23, 2003 Claims for Approval <br />2. Centennial Fire District Claims <br />3. Pay Request Number 1 Dave Perkins Contracting Inc., for Peltier Preserve Street <br />and Utilities <br /> <br />Council Member Capra questioned the $22,000 payment to Bonestroo. Mr. Peterson <br />indicated that a larger bi11like that is usually for the design of a project and Peltier is the <br />most current one so he believes that it is for Peltier Preserve. He then said that there is <br />usually an escrow set aside for funding the engineering on the projects and it is not an <br />expense of the City. <br /> <br />Council Member Lee asked if Mr. Peterson had been out to Peltier Preserve and whether <br />things are done to his satisfaction. Mr. Peterson indicated that Dan Schluender is the <br />engineer in the field and he has signed off on the work. He then said that this is a <br />$141,498.70 payment outofa $500,000 project and a11looks fine to him. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Lee. seconded by Council Member Capra to approve <br />the Consent Aeenda as presented. AIl in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />v. A W ARDSIPRESENTATIONS/APPEARANCES <br /> <br />1. Wes Schoeberlein Water Issue Pheasant Marsh <br /> <br />Mr. Wes Schoeberlein, 1744 Partridge Place, addressed the Council and explained his <br />water issue and provided the same pictures that were provided to the Planning <br />Commission in addition to a few new ones with pictures of water in the basement. He <br />explained that he has lived at the property for 16 years and has never had a water problem <br />and now that the area has been developed there was a large rain fall in May and there was <br />standing water everywhere and water in his basement. <br /> <br />Mayor Sweeney asked if the marginal wetland discussed by Mr. Schoeberlein was to be a <br />retention pond. Mr. Peterson indicated there is a culvert that takes it out to the north when <br />it rises. <br /> <br />Council Member Capra indicated the memo received from Staff indicates that Mr. <br />Schoeberlein intends to install drain tile. <br /> <br />Page 2 of 13 <br />
