" <br /> <br />City of Centerville <br />August 13, 2003 <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />Mr. Runkle indicated he spoke with Dean Johnson from Resource Strategies this <br />afternoon who feels there should not be an issue with Met. Council's approval but no <br />official word has been received. <br /> <br />Mr. Runkle indicated that homes are building out faster than what was anticipated and <br />they would like to continue on. <br /> <br />Council Member Capra asked for information on the trail through Phase ill. Mr.' <br />Peterson indicated the trail will go down the south side of Dupre. Mr. Runkle pointed out <br />on the map where the trail would be located indicating that it goes down the south side of <br />Dupre and then through the high spots of the wetland area. <br /> <br />Council Member Capra asked where the trail comes out. Mr. Palzer indicated that the <br />trail comes out near the lift station. <br /> <br />City Attorney Hoeft and Mr. Runkle discussed the trail and how it is designated on the <br />plat and Mr. Hoeft indicated that he would be fine with the trail location being within the <br />easement for drainage and utility. <br /> <br />Council Member Capra indicated that Mr. Runkle wrote a note with regard to the 60 day <br />waiver. City Attorney Hoeft indicated that as far as he knows the City has no issue from <br />his reading of Mr. Johnson's letter regarding the Comprehensive Plan amendment. <br /> <br />City Attorney Hoeft indicated that the final plat could be approved with the conditions <br />that the developer's contract be executed and a response from the Met. Council on the <br />MUSA advancement. <br /> <br />Mr. Palzer asked that Council ask that the building pads be larger in the third phase <br />because they have been running into substantial soil correction issues because the houses <br />are larger than the pads. <br /> <br />Mr. Runkle indicated the pads should be big enough but some houses are angled on the <br />lot and go off on the comer. He then said that the 50 x 60 should be adequate and they <br />are watching it closely. <br /> <br />Mr. Palzer asked that the pads be 60 x 60 to eliminate future soil correction issues. <br /> <br />Council Member Capra indicated that she would vote against the advancement of MUSA <br />to remain consistent on her opposition to building out the City faster than scheduled. <br /> <br />Motion was made by Council Member Capra and seconded by Council Member <br />Paar to close the public hearin!!. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Mayor Sweeney closed the public hearing at 7:25 p.m. <br /> <br />Page 5 of 13 <br />
