<br />- <br />City of CenterviIIe <br />July 9, 2003 <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br /> <br />prepared an updated survey of pay and benefits from cities with populations between <br />2500 and 5000 and handed it out to Council. <br /> <br />Motion by Councll Member Broussard Vickers. seconded by Councll Member Paar <br />to aDDrove Resolution #03-041 as Dresented. All in favor. Motion carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />IX. ANNOUNCEMENTSIUPDATES <br /> <br />Council Member Broussard Vickers indicated that she was unable to attend the upcoming <br />Planning Commission meeting and asked that any interested Council Members attend for <br />her. <br /> <br />Mayor Sweeney indicated that the next police consolidation meeting would be held on <br />Wednesday, July 16, 2003 and the next police commission meeting on Thursday, July 10, <br />2003. <br /> <br />Council Member Capra indicated that the Cable Committee meeting conflicts with the <br />police consolidation meeting and asked that Council Member Broussard Vickers attend if <br />possible. <br /> <br />Council Member Lee indicated that the Parks and Recreation Committee has a full <br />membership again. <br /> <br />Council Member Paar indicated that the EDC is still looking for volunteers to Staff the <br />City booth during Fete des Lacs if any Council Members are interested. He said that the <br />Lions are looking for volunteers to assist with the Festival and noted that there is a need <br />for help with the kids carnival. He then asked that anyone interested in volunteering <br />contact City Hall to be put in touch with the appropriate people. <br /> <br />Council Member Paar indicated that the EDC is beginning preliminary work on Snowbiz <br />and will be working to coordinate all events in one location. He also indicated that they <br />discussed the budget and will be asking for the same amount in 2004 as in 2003. <br /> <br />Ms. Moore-Sykes indicated that the check disbursements and Centennial Fire District <br />Claims information was placed on the dais and were submitted late due to the July 4, <br />2003 holiday. <br /> <br />Council Member Capra asked whether the meeting should be left open until after the <br />decibel test. <br /> <br />City Attorney Hoeft indicated the meeting could adjourn and the tests be done but those <br />results should not be discussed. <br /> <br />Ms. Bonnie Larson, 1724 Peltier Lake Drive, addressed Council and indicated that she <br />has been faced with ripping carpet and walls out of her basement and a lot of cleaning <br />due to the lift station failure on July 25,2003.
