<br />- <br />City of Centerville <br />July 9, 2003 <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br /> <br />5. Budget Meetings <br /> <br />Council agreed to set budget meetings for July 30, August 6, and August 20, 2003 at 6:30 <br />p.m. <br /> <br />Council Member Capra asked Council Member Broussard Vickers to attend the Cable <br />Committee meeting on July 16, 2003 if she is available. <br /> <br />6. Pre-Sod ~ection <br /> <br />Council Member Paar indicated that he would like the City to institute a pre-sod <br />inspection to help ensure that the grade stays consistent and improve drainage. He then <br />indicated that the grading inspection takes place before the house is even built and that is <br />causing problems with drainage. <br /> <br />Council discussed increasing the grade from 1 % but the City Engineer indicated that it <br />would be difficult to do so because Centerville is very flat and due to the way the water <br />currently flows to the existing ponds and ditches. <br /> <br />Council discussed the matter and asked that the City Attorney incorporate language into <br />the developer's agreements in the future to address the pre-sod inspection as well as drain <br />tiling to improve drainage. <br /> <br />7. Email from Mr. Wegman <br /> <br />Ms. Moore-Sykes indicated that she had handled the matter. <br /> <br />8. Hole in Street on Meadow Lane <br /> <br />Council Member Paar indicated that there is a big hole in front of the sewer on Meadow <br />Lane and Meadow Circle. <br /> <br />Council Member Broussard Vickers commented that this did not seem to be a full <br />Council issue but rather something that should be directed to Staff to handle. She then <br />said that it seems there have been a number of these types of issues brought to Council <br />lately that should have been directed to Staff to take care of. She further commented that <br />she would prefer that Council Members contact Staff and ask that the is~reso1ved <br />and then, if there is a problem, Staff can bring the matter to Council for consideration. <br /> <br />Council Member Paar asked that Stafflook into the hole and take care of it. <br /> <br />VIII. OLD BUSINESS <br /> <br />1. Pay Equity Comoliance - Resolution #03-041 <br /> <br />Ms. Paulseth indicated she had prepared a Resolution to approve what was discussed at <br />the work session concerning the pay equity compliance. - She then indicated she had <br /> <br />Page 7 of 10 <br />
