<br /> <br />A. If the owner of any property sold pursuant to this ordinance <br />shall furnish the clerk with evidence substantiating his claim of ownership of such <br />property within six (6) months after the proceeds from the sale of such property were <br />deposited with the City Clerk, then the City Clerk shall pay to such owner the balance of <br />the proceeds of the sale of such property deposited by the Chief of Police with the City <br />Clerk under Subdivision 5 thereof. <br /> <br />B. If no claim is made for the proceeds of any sale of property <br />made pursuant to this ordinance within six (6) months after the proceeds were deposited <br />with the City Clerk, then such proceeds shall thereupon become the property of the City <br />to the exclusions of the owner of such property and all others. <br /> <br />C. All such proceeds that become the property of the City, with the <br />exception of proceeds generated from the sale of unclaimed bicycles and pistols, shall be <br />credited to the general fund of the City. <br /> <br />D~ Proceeds deposited with the City Clerk from the sale of <br />unclaimed bicycles held by the Police Department shall be made available to tb.e Police <br />Department upon request of the Chi~f of Police to be utilized solely for youth safety <br />instruction. <br /> <br />E. Proceeds from pistols shall be deposited wit.~ the Circle Pines <br />Lexington Joint Police Commission. <br /> <br />Subd. 7. Persons Ineligible to Participate In Sale of Unclaimed Property. <br />No employee, police officer, or other person having a vested interest with the City shall <br />be eligible to participate in the purchasing of such unclaimed property. <br /> <br />Subd. 8.
