Moreland Property (Update) <br /> <br />Ms. Moore-Sykes indicated she has not seen any activity at the property. <br /> <br />City Attorney Hoeft indicated the clean up of the inside of the house does not have a time <br />frame because there is no public health issue because no one lives there. <br /> <br />Council Member Capra indicated the neighbors were getting frustrated because it is not <br />getting done. <br /> <br />Mr. Palzer indicated the exterior is getting to the point where it needs some maintenance. <br /> <br />City Attorney Hoeft indicated the exterior issues need to be addressed and the City can <br />go in and cut the grass if that is what needs to be done. <br /> <br />Council Member Capra indicated the neighbors saw Mrs. Moreland wandering around <br />the property and asked whether she is allowed to be in the structure. <br /> <br />City Attorney Hoeft indicated she could go there but she cannot live there. <br /> <br />Council Member Capra indicated the Cable Commission approved the $2,000,000 bond <br />to build a new building and hired an architect consultant. <br /> <br />Mayor Sweeney indicated the first police consolidation meeting was held and the next <br />one is May 29,2003 and then the next Friday. <br /> <br />Ms. Moore-Sykes indicated she met with other administrators to discuss the issues raised <br />out of the first meeting and will be prepared to present information at the next meeting in <br />Circle Pines. <br /> <br />Ms. Moore-Sykes indicated the City will receive a check from the League of Minnesota <br />Cities for a refund on workers compensation insurance in the amount of$2,018.00. <br /> <br />Mayor Sweeney asked whether the City was in compliance on salary for all employees. <br />Ms. Moore-Sykes indicated that department was going through as shakeup with the <br />reconsolidation and she is not sure when the information on whether the City is in <br />compliance will be available. <br /> <br />Mayor Sweeney asked if Ms. Moore-Sy~es was comfortable with the classifications. <br /> <br />Ms. Moore-Sykes indicated she was in the process of updating job descriptions and <br />would like to discuss that as well as COLA increases. She then indicated she had <br />received a survey from the League of Minnesota Cities in conjunction with a group for <br />public services employees and the average COLA increase is 3.25% with some going <br />above 4%. <br /> <br />Page 8 of9 <br />
