Centerville City Council May 28, 2003 Meeting Minutes Council Member Broussard Vickers asked if the insurance amounts of $100,000 and $300,000 were the industry standard. Ms. Moore-Sykes indicated that those amounts are standard within the industry. Motion by Council Member Broussard Vickers. seconded by Council Member Lee to close the Dublic hearin2. AD in favor. Motion carried unanimously. Mayor Sweeney closed the public hearing at 7:03 p.m. Motion by Council Member Broussard Vickers. seconded by Council Member Lee to approve Ordinance #1. Council Member Broussard Vickers asked if the February 1959 date should remain in the Ordinance. Ms. Moore-Sykes indicated that date would remain and there would be a note indicating the revised date below it. VOTE: AD in favor. Motion carried unanimously. 2. Ordinance #63 - Watering Mayor Sweeney opened the public hearing at 7:04 p.m. Council Member Lee asked how this would be enforced. Ms. Moore-Sykes indicated that the police department and public works would be enforcing the watering ordinance. Council Member Lee asked how this change was going to be advertised. Ms. Moore- Sykes indicated it would be published in the newspaper as well as put on the cable channel, the sign out in front of City Hall and the web site. Motion by Council Member Broussard Vickers. seconded by Council Member Paar to close the Dublic hearin2. AD in favor. Motion carried unanimously. City Attorney Hoeft indicated the police would be the best educators on the Ordinance and indicated that a warning would first be issued prior to issuance of a citation. Mayor Sweeney closed the public hearing at 7:07 p.m. Motion by Council Member Lee. seconded by Council Member Paar to aDDrove Ordinance #63. AD in favor. Motion carried unanimously. vn.
