<br />Centerville City Council <br />May 28, 2003 <br />Meeting Minutes <br /> <br />Council Member Broussard Vickers asked if the insurance amounts of $100,000 and <br />$300,000 were the industry standard. Ms. Moore-Sykes indicated that those amounts are <br />standard within the industry. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Broussard Vickers. seconded by Council Member Lee <br />to close the Dublic hearin2. AD in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Mayor Sweeney closed the public hearing at 7:03 p.m. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Broussard Vickers. seconded by Council Member Lee <br />to approve Ordinance #1. <br /> <br />Council Member Broussard Vickers asked if the February 1959 date should remain in the <br />Ordinance. Ms. Moore-Sykes indicated that date would remain and there would be a note <br />indicating the revised date below it. <br /> <br />VOTE: AD in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />2. Ordinance #63 - Watering <br /> <br />Mayor Sweeney opened the public hearing at 7:04 p.m. <br /> <br />Council Member Lee asked how this would be enforced. Ms. Moore-Sykes indicated <br />that the police department and public works would be enforcing the watering ordinance. <br /> <br />Council Member Lee asked how this change was going to be advertised. Ms. Moore- <br />Sykes indicated it would be published in the newspaper as well as put on the cable <br />channel, the sign out in front of City Hall and the web site. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Broussard Vickers. seconded by Council Member Paar <br />to close the Dublic hearin2. AD in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />City Attorney Hoeft indicated the police would be the best educators on the Ordinance <br />and indicated that a warning would first be issued prior to issuance of a citation. <br /> <br />Mayor Sweeney closed the public hearing at 7:07 p.m. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Lee. seconded by Council Member Paar to aDDrove <br />Ordinance #63.
