City of Centerville <br /> Council Meeting <br /> December 28, 2011 <br /> VIII. NEW BUSINESS <br /> 1. Res. #11 -030 — Authorizing Submission of an Application for CDBG Funding <br /> 1687 Sorel Street & 7089 Centerville Road <br /> Finance Director Jeziorski stated that the presented application is the same as previously <br /> submitted; however it is for 2012 funding. <br /> Motion by Council Member Fehrenbacher, seconded by Council Member Love, to <br /> approve Res. #11 -030 — Authorizing Submission of an Application for CDBG <br /> Funding — 1687 Sorel Street & 7089 Centerville Road as presented. All in favor, <br /> except King opposed. Motion carried. <br /> 2. Approving Implementation Plan for Phase II of Remote Meter Reading System <br /> Mayor Wilharber recommended that Staff forward a letter to affected residents <br /> explaining the installation of the new meters, reasoning behind the replacement meters <br /> and when the installation would be taking place. The Mayor felt that no resident should <br /> be surprised if they were to come home and find an employee on their property. <br /> Discussion ensued regarding affects of this project, accuracy, aiding in potential for <br /> monthly billing of services and elimination of manual reading expenses. <br /> Motion by Council Member Paar, seconded by Council Member Love, to approve <br /> the Implementation Plan for Phase II of Remote Meter Reading System as <br /> presented. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> 3. Adoption of Personnel Policy Amendments <br /> Finance Director Jeziorski reviewed several of the modifications with Council and stated <br /> that it is same as discussed and presented at the December 14, 2011 Work Session. <br /> Motion by Council Member Love, seconded by Council Member Paar, to Adopt the <br /> revised Personnel Policy as presented. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> 4. Update Stormwater Management Plan - Stantec Proposal <br /> Mayor Wilharber questioned whether Engineer Statz had anything to add to Stantec's <br /> proposal. Engineer Statz declined. Consensus of the Council was that the City would <br /> obtain bids for this project through the RFP process as discussed at the last work session. <br /> Motion by Council Member King, seconded by Council Member Fehrenbacher, to <br /> Authorize Staff to obtain proposals for Updating the City's Stormwater <br /> Management Plan. <br /> Council Member King questioned the last time the plan was updated.
