Letter from Centennial Lakes Little League - Field #1 In Field, Laurie LaMotte <br /> Park <br /> Mayor Wilharber stated that the Little League feels that the newly installed in field grass <br /> was not properly maintained by the City. Mayor Wilharber requested that Staff contact <br /> the Little League to notify them that the City was in receipt of their letter and that Staff <br /> would research their concerns. Mayor Wilharber stated that the item would be addressed <br /> subsequent to Staff's research. <br /> 9. Centennial Lakes Police Department Newsletter <br /> Mayor Wilharber stated that recently the Police Department completed their newsletter <br /> and suggested that Council Members review it on -line. Mayor Wilharber questioned <br /> whether the Council desired to have a Police Department representative (Officer /Chief) <br /> attend Council meetings on a regular basis (monthly, quarterly or when important issues <br /> arise)? Consensus was that quarterly would be optimal unless a more critical issue <br /> needed discussion for Council or resident awareness. It was felt that the Chief did not <br /> need to be present at these meetings. <br /> IX. ANNOUNCEMENTS/UPDATES <br /> Finance Director Jeziorski stated that audit preparation will take approximately 2 months <br /> and that Council could expect financials shortly thereafter. Finance Director Jeziorski <br /> suggested that Council schedule a Work Session to discuss a New Home Tax Abatement <br /> Program and Council's Goals & Objectives for 2013. Consensus was to schedule a Work <br /> Session following the next regularly scheduled Council meeting. <br /> Attorney Glaser reported that the ticket program was proceeding well and that he would <br /> have a full report for Council at either their first meeting in January or second meeting in <br /> January. <br /> Mayor Wilharber reported that there was a potential for a $50,000 overage associated <br /> with the Trail project due to unforeseen issues and the State shutdown. Engineer Statz <br /> reported that Staff Member Burmeister was working with the contractors regarding these <br /> issues. <br /> Mayor Wilharber also reported that a business of Lino Lakes had recently donated the <br /> installation and a lift off truck -bed type fire apparatus to the Centennial Fire District in <br /> exchange for recognition of use of the equipment.
